Credibility and trust are at the center of all we do, plus credibility builds relationships and sales. And unless you are already well known in your career, you soon discover the need to build credibility as an entrepreneur once again.

This was the lesson I learned that led me on an amazing journey of becoming an author. Many times over the following words were heard:

“If you wish to establish credibility, you must write a book”.

Looking back, this was the single best strategy that formally launched Smooth Sale.

  • Basis for training programs
  • A launching pad for further products and services
  • A social media attraction magnet

My Experience

It had never been my intention to become an author nor did I ever foresee the remarkable results after becoming one.   Revealing all that transpired in the corporate sales world and endured by me, the lone saleswoman, transformed the writing into becoming an international best-seller. Nice Girls DO Get the Sale: Relationship Building That Gets Results was translated into three languages, was featured in TIME Magazine Business Supplement and CBS-TV news and has continued to receive recognition from around the world.

Build Credibility

If you are struggling with your business and need an edge to boost your results, give serious consideration to writing your book, your story. The reason, your story put to pages in a book is so significant is that it builds rapport, credibility and trust. This encourages audiences to connect with you further and then translate the effort to further business.

Meet with Authors

Long ago, I attended events with other want-to-be authors and later with those who achieved their goals. Some books are very successful while others are not; however, that isn’t the point. Writing your story is the first step to acknowledging who you are today and how far you have come on your journey. The process adds to building confidence; even better, it may provide insight into future accomplishments that matter most from your perspective. Writing and sharing our stories is essential to becoming the person we desire.
