Attract the Right Job or Clientele:  Do You Work Alone and Feel Alone?

A common topic for discussion today is the lonely life of the entrepreneur. The corporate version is that of the invisible walls built around individuals and departments. There are times to be alone in order to focus and attain set goals. However, companionship on several levels will serve to achieve those goals more  swiftly.

Synergy within departments and among peers will fast track desired results.

My Story

As I came to understand how all areas of business fit together to develop a presence among the millions of others, I recognized the shortfall within companies. My experience was that in addition to the sales department performing separately from the rest, the salespeople moved away from one another in pursuit of rewarding bonuses.

An improved approach is when departments take the time to understand how each operates in addition to recognizing their goals. With the new perspectives and common goal of increasing clientele and the bottom-line, more may be achieved in less time. Job seekers might inquire on interviews of whether it is an open environment or traditionally closed.

Frequently entrepreneurs are misunderstood and face criticism. The action is to then bury themselves to find focus and perform well. But, they too need people to confer with and exchange ideas.   It is in the exchange of new ideas that will increase energy and enthusiasm for one’s work. Make it a weekly habit to check in with someone who is able to spur you on.

Your Story: Do You Work Alone and Feel Alone?

If you are feeling alone in your work, think about those in your network sphere. Develop a pact to hold confidential conversations at intervals. Confer with others on how they handle the “alone syndrome”.

Exchange ideas and provide critique with the purpose of helping one another. Doing this with just one or two people will help lift a down mood and propel you to new possibility.
