Attract the Right Job or Clientele:
When Adversity Hits, Do Your Research for Business Growth
Commentary often gets us into in-depth conversations, particularly when we don’t agree. Moreover, goodwill declines when the tone of voice of others sounds insulting. The worst part is the mental replay many times over in our heads, preventing sound sleep. Rather than allowing the seemingly endless stress to take over, I learned that when adversity hits, it’s wise to do your research for business growth.

One recent and concerning example was advice from friends on both sides of the political aisle advising me on financials. I enjoy following the markets, connecting with the news, and participating in a limited way. However, I would never insist that others take specific actions as I wouldn’t want to be responsible for the potential loss they might otherwise face. If I had taken their advice, it would have been disastrous. The good news is I politely disagreed, and we are still friends.
Times Change: We Need to Mirror the Same
What worked decades before only sometimes applies today. And with AI, Chat GPT, and robotics advances, changes are quicker than ever. Upon realizing the time GPT can save and provide updates, I was highly impressed. Accordingly, I was motivated to see how AI might help with investments. Not being a financial advisor, it was merely for personal insights. The predictions were remarkable, and the buy amount reasonable, so I tried a couple of recommendations, and I have not regretted a moment.
Politics, Finances, and Age Gaps
Social conversations arise on multiple levels, including politics and financial matters. The irony is that the people I know well and who are generally on opposite sides of politics agreed with each other about my nonsensical statements concerning AI predictions. On the other side of the equation, a younger person was impressed enough to say he would try my new method.
I used to hear the expression ‘the proof is in the pudding,’ which happened yesterday. Well-established newsletters published similar sentiments to my new way of thinking. Upon researching the previous predictions, they were accurate!
Eliminate the Gaps
While older people have many years of experience, it’s traditional and not new age. Younger people can hear the time-tested relationship-building efforts and goal-setting plans to get themselves on a solid footing. However, senior people will do well to learn how to use the internet, apps on the phone, and payment systems that simplify daily efforts. The next step is to test new approaches for the otherwise ‘same old.’
Resetting Goals
Upon realizing our routine for what we do, it may become evident that updating is critical. Realistically, our only choice is to learn new thoughts from research and those who embraced it early in its release. Examining all sides of an issue brings more questions, answers, and learning points.
Conclusion: When Adversity Hits, Do Your Research for Business Growth
The end goal one wants to achieve may remain the same. However, the approach to attaining it may change entirely. The daily task list and intermediate goals require new thought and effort to reach our most desired goal. Life is a learning journey, testing the waters and ultimately achieving our desires. Giving up achieves nothing, whereas consistency and perseverance will empower us to reach our ultimate desire.
