How to Get Past “Stuck”

An all too familiar story came my way.  “Shawn” is very ill without  medical insurance and is facing the need for many thousands of dollars for surgery and recuperation.  But as with anything, wihether seeking work or building a business, all dilemmas require teamwork, a large network and creative juices flowing.

In the slow economy when it comes to seeking employment, we need to ask our contacts who they know at companies to get introduced for possible interviews.  This technique bypasses competing with thousands on job postings.  Building business likewise requires meeting many and asking who they know that might be able to utilize your service.

So in the case of help in a medical situation, the same is true. $25 donations truthfully are going to do little but might put some food on the table.  Behind the scenes, friends and friends of friends need to brainstorm with and on the behalf of others in a similar situation as Shawn.  Organizations might be contacted for possible fund raising or funds might be raised by friends and acquaintances who have the better connections.

In the meantime, offering creative ideas of how to make money from home without a huge investment as well as connections to people in similar types of work will help too.  Another suggested a mastermind group and yet another offered a healer for Shawn.  But all of these ideas are subject to keeping an open mind.
