Picking out the elements that may be harmful while carefully grooming those that can be beneficial is vital for healthy growth. Therefore, our blog uses the analogy, ‘Be the gardener of your future to enjoy growth.’

Differentiate Your Provisions
We are each unique beings with differing ideas and approaches to business. The expression, ‘You should do…’ is nonsense, as no one knows us well enough to dictate our actions. What works for some will be a disaster for others. Success is far more likely to arrive when we embrace our unique thoughts and advance with what we provide our clientele.
Fertilize
Yes, it’s true. We each need to fertilize our initial strategies for a more robust outcome. Testing, trial and error, learning from our worst lessons, and testing again fertilize our ideas and mindset, proving we can succeed!
Weed Out
It seemed as if 7/8 of my career was destined to weed out negativity, criticism, and ugliness directed at me on many levels. But I learned early on, ‘Don’t give up, find a better way.’ As challenging as it was, I refused to allow the bullies to win, to turn my back on them and proceed my way.
After a challenging sales career, I became a successful entrepreneur, teaching the best of what I learned about sales. But upon moving to a new city, jeers and humiliation took over at an event, inspiring a new idea.
Once again, weeding out all the harassment, my life was overhauled upon meeting Randy Peyser, who helped me become a published author and shares on LinkedIn, the story of how Nice Girls DO Get the Sale: Relationship Building That Gets Results,’ became an Evergreen classic book!
Groom and Cultivate
My approach to selling well was to find those willing to have a genuine conversation, and accordingly, I tested new networking events to see where I might be treated as an equal. Over time, I found the right matches to collaborate and empower one another with knowledge, plus expand our networks. All the while, I noted what typically caught the interest of others, which was to know what to continue doing.
Harvest
The nastiness during early and mid-career gave reason for my next career move as positivity entered the picture. But a critical career interruption was mine – an unusual near-death experience that pointed me to serving communities at large. I took occasional classes to learn the necessary skills. Accordingly, I was encouraged to give inspirational keynotes at conferences, garnering standing ovations and additional invitations to speak to and train other groups. More recently, collaboration and sharing my best became my preferred practice for doing business.
Enjoy the Taste of Success
In my youth, I repeatedly heard the saying, ‘The proof is in the pudding.’ Authoring a book changed me personally and professionally for the better. My goal today is to help others find their sweet spot by sharing my insights and those of others so they may also enjoy their taste of success.
