Are You Creating Next Year’s Success Today?
Setting goals and how to achieve them more quickly is a frequent topic for me, while at near year-end it extends to creating next year’s success today. And at the end of the year, I usually speak to planning projects for the following year so that you may hit day one with running.
Today my friend, David Peralta, iSEEit’s Sales Blogger, sent me a very similar email. Like minds and his email had me laughing. His question asked of readers was whether they will be reaching year-end goals with only 51 days left to the year.
Upon reading the question, I began laughing out loud. Timing is everything. Had David sent the question another day, my reaction might have been a nod of the head. But today, I received word from Kred that I am now in the top 1% of influencers!
My Tunnel: Creating Next Year’s Success Today
Years ago, I moved to a wonderful area but it wasn’t the right fit for my business model. Fortunately, it was when social media came into being. I jumped right in and fondly embraced it.
But people told me I was nuts and that I would lose everything already built. Why? Because social media was simply a pipe-dream, it would never really take hold.
Do you see why I was laughing today?
Your Tunnel
Just about everyone encounters alone times with the feeling they too are walking through scary dark tunnels. Are you in the midst of one right now? Are you on the way to finding the light again before year-end?
Planning:
Computer and Devices
Planning ahead helps considerably. But both myself and a friend found ourselves losing a half day’s work today due to the need to upgrade computer software. We should have done it in the evening while relaxing.
Website
We usually get so busy with projects that our websites, bios, and online profile pages are forgotten. Check them to be certain they are up to date to reflect your recent experiences. It’s possible recruiters, employers, and clientele are researching your information. You get the idea of the importance.
Materials
If your business is the type that uses marketing materials either hardcopy format or online, review whether they reflect who you are today. Do you need an image overhaul in order to advance your endeavor.
Check Your List Twice
Make the New Year your best one yet. Create a wish list of all the things you know you need done but budget is an issue. Prioritize the list. Likewise, create a second list of all the things you can do to earn extra income. Start on it today, to get your running start in January.
