Are You Making Progress AND Improving?
Making progress implies that a person improves but making progress and improving are not necessarily synchronous. It could simply be that change is being made moving from point A to Point B but nothing really improves. The effort becomes a drain on time spent and detracts from money that could have been earned or better invested.
So many times we each feel as if we are going down a dark tunnel all alone. It is during these experiences that we think about quitting. But quitting won’t bring improvement either. In fact the opposite will occur because the tendency is to beat ourselves up for not having continued.
Commitment to change and progress coupled with perseverance lead to extraordinary results.
My Story
I changed many things about my business to incorporate new technology and services made available. Much time was devoted to learning of the better strategies to use and then attempting to implement them. The technology piece is always the most difficult for me. It became very time consuming to make progress down this path. So I did not feel as if I had improved circumstances for a very long time.
Commitment and perseverance saved the day(s). Refusing to quit but to keep learning and experimenting began to bring in very good results. Recognition from highly credible sources began to arrive and new audiences built. Improvement arrived in the form of renewed confidence in finally being able to recognize what works best. Improvement continued by sharing the best of what I learned with my clientele that then attracted new opportunities. As I look back on the frustrations, I can still smile upon acknowledging the progress and improving my game on an ongoing basis.
It became a habit to share frequently and on a wide variety of platforms. Accordingly, my audience grew substantially. How I accomplished all of this is documented in my book, The Wish. And the entire effort is now being enhanced from multiple angles to provide an improved service for my clientele.

Are you committed to making progress in the areas that challenge you most? On the days that frustration sets in, it is wise to take a break. Exercise, do errands or speak with a good friend. Just as we sometimes need to restart our computers, we need to restart our days. But always be aware of your passion, priorities, and make a firm commitment to progress and improving.

Are you seeing encouraging signs of progress? These usually give indication on the better path to take. And while on the path make note of new ideas as they come to you. Prioritize them in terms of learning curve, time and money as well as the contribution they will make to furthering your progress. Your “can do it” mindset will empower your personal brand. Demonstrating all of this applies well to career advancement as well as sales and entrepreneurship.
