Attract the Right Job or Clientele:

Are You Planning to Succeed?

Daily news reveals the many varying setbacks companies of all sizes are facing. Supply and demand are at the heart of many issues. Companies of all sizes face serious obstacles continually. For example, with so many people quitting their jobs in favor of remote work, large employers are facing the dilemma of wasting office space and funds. Executives and landlords about to lose out on renting the space can face severe hardships.

Entrepreneurs also need to redefine their desired audience and which social platforms may be the best to continue with postings. Updates to websites, products, and services are also necessary for routine checkups. Lagging on the news can harm business; it’s wise to remain ahead of the curve.

Today’s blog question, ‘are you planning to succeed?’ may sound ridiculous. However, many fail to focus on essential steps to increase their potential success. The more significant issue is allowing excitement to take over rational thinking by eliminating proper planning to enable success to occur.

My Story

No matter our career choice, we must remind ourselves, ‘You can do it!’ We typically begin at ground zero, not realizing the work ahead of us. The good news is that most will not attempt the challenges they foresee, leaving more room for the rest of us the opportunity to stand out and make a difference.

In the corporate environment, management may chastise us, peers may belittle our creative thought, and on occasion, the forewarning of being fired can be our reality. On the entrepreneurial end, it takes a concentrated effort to find peers willing to support one another and collaboratively move forward. The negative chatter in the background convinces most to forego their original desires.

Giving Up Resolves Nothing!

As one who faced all of the above, I decided to continue the corporate career experience my way. My motivation to continue forward was to learn as much as possible from people outside of work for non-biased insights and helpful suggestions. As a novice, I began asking clientele what they prefer from service providers to know how to continue. My questions surprised almost everyone, and they were delighted to help me. And my delight was when many of my helpful prospects asked permission to purchase from me.

The experiences contributed to my unique roadmap for becoming an entrepreneur. The lessons include standing up to bullies with innocence by moving with integrity first. The finer techniques are part of the planning to succeed.

The More Essential Career Lessons Learned:

1. Pay attention to everyone, particularly those motivated and planning to succeed! It is the people with ‘crazy’ ideas to watch, include in your conversations, and embrace open dialogues to enjoy robust results.

2. Popular thought is uniquely different from winning thinking. Our brand, products, and services are essentials for individual branding and selling well. Those outside the so-called box are the ones who quietly take the reins to lead. In the long run, the carefully laid out plans for success with originality behind them are the ones that usually succeed.

Remain consistent with individual principles and thoughts to consider for potential acceptance.

3. Occasionally, it is necessary to reject corporate demands to maintain integrity. The difficult choice is to seek new work because it is never wise to jeopardize who you are and what you stand for.

4. Continue seeking better strategies to advance. Observation, research, and testing all lend insight into how to proceed. For active selling, it is best to focus on the intended clientele, not yourself. The focus on clientele is highly unusual; the appreciation of the behavior translates to client loyalty.

5. Working my way proved to be an excellent success strategy. As an embarrassment to the men, finding a new job at the end of each year was necessary. After eleven years of enduring eleven jobs in an unwelcome corporate environment and committing to serving communities, entrepreneurship became the new phase of my career.

Learning and Planning to Succeed

Becoming an entrepreneur has excitement taking over without realizing the work ahead of us and the help we each need. The treacherous steps I previously faced came to mind upon hearing another proudly announce the launch of his book.

‘Nick’ is proud of his earlier accomplishments and previous fame. He is confident his book will instantly become a best-seller. But, if no one knows what Nick is selling, it’s evident that he will make few sales. As a friend, I provided a simplified document listing some steps to begin marketing his book and offered to discuss them. He replied that a call would take place with another who would advise him. I suggested reading the document and allowing me to answer questions ahead of the appointment. My objective is to help inform him as a part of the planning.

Nick’s reply:

‘The book is on Amazon and will sell itself because I wrote it.’ If only that were the case, he might otherwise be deeply disappointed.

No matter the endeavor we decide to undertake, personal or business, it will require a commitment to learning and planning to succeed. Otherwise, the results will be mediocre at best. Worse, most people will quit due to believing it’s impossible to achieve what they set out to do.

Note: Possibility exists with a positive mindset and the desire to do whatever it takes to succeed!

In Conclusion: Planning to Succeed

Success may take more time than we like. But with proper planning to succeed and commitment, you can achieve your desires despite what others say! Seeing beyond what most people view as workable will set you apart!
