3 Sales Tips for Making An Important Decision

1.  Create a list of Pros and Cons

Not every decision is an easy one as some have many components attached.  A good step for reducing the related stress is to create two columns on a notepad with the headers of Pro and Con.  Meticulously list all of the pieces involved for making the best decision possible.  This includes learning curve, implementation, connecting with others, and financials involved.

In the end, if you aren’t excited about tackling the majority of it to make the idea happen, move on to the next opportunity.  However, if you feel the excitement as you write, putting all of the elements into place will not be nearly as difficult and you will be energized visualizing the outcome.

2.  Test the waters

Eastablish a test period, particularly if you are collaborating with another on a project.  Give it a fair amount of time to get the kinks out and see if it takes hold.  Trial and error are usually involved.   Should the motivation to keep trying persist, you are potentially on to a winning route.

3.  Reconvene

Whether you are working with peers or employers on a job, be of the mindset to keep the communciation lines open.  Make a habit of communicating regularly.  Should your decision be one to move forward, you will have established an excellent working relationship.

Following these steps will have you well prepared for future business development and sales growth plus the Smooth Sale!
