Endorsements, Reviews and Connections

Today i was listening to a tele-seminar by Marcia Yudkin on the subject matter of getting written material formatted for Kindle.  I laughed to myself when she said, “Don’t write your own reviews!” Further advice given was “Don’t pay for reviews.”

My mantra for all endeavors is to lead with honesty.  Otherwise, somewhere down the line the not so upfront strategies will backfire in a far bigger way than any benefit produced at the outset.

On interviews, job seekers might have to say, “You are right, I don’t have experience in…  However, in the past here is what I did in that situation to find great results…”

Meeting with clients, business and salespeople might have to say, “You are correct, we do not offer that particular service.  On the other hand, you might wish to consider…”

In regard to connections making requests online, research their information first before you agree to making the offical connection, introduction or endorsement.  It will save embarrassing moments later.

It is always about qualifying and matching the better opportunities while proceeding with integrity.  In the end, everyone wins, worry is eliminated from your vocabulary, and you enjoy life just a little bit better.  It makes for a nice Smooth Sale!
