An Obstacle In Your Way?
Yesterday, I became familiar with another sales professional turned entrepreneur. We had a good time reminiscing as well as discussing the hardships of the entrepreneurial life. I laughed out loud as I heard him say in his first year of entrepreneurship he targeted the wrong audience and continued to do so as if he were banging his head against the wall. I laughed because it brought back painful memories and lessons learned.
Should you be facing an obstacle in career search or business development, the least expensive and easiest route is to confer with counterparts whom you admire and feel comfortable in their presence. Relay your obstacle and ask for their advice. You may also find that your peer has faced the same. In this instance, you will hear a very quick fix. The question is, will you take the step to move forward?
Believe it or not many entrepreneurs become so stuck in their way and let ego interfere that they refuse to listen to anyone else’s opinion or adjust to another’s way of doing business. When you embrace ideas from multiple angles, you are bound to find the best one for you and will more quickly reach the next rung in your ladder of success.
As you overcome obstacles to find success, it will all seem as if it were all a Smooth Sale!
