Thoughtfulness Increases Your Size of Sale and Success Rate
Analyze your actions and those of others!
We have all made faux pas but the idea is to minimize them as much as possible, particularly when you are interviewing or meeting with clientele. Think back to all of the annoying occurrences that others inflicted upon you. How did they make you feel? Have you been guilty of the same? Take action to never repeat.
Observing and listening to others will teach you much. You will quickly learn what to do as well as what not to do. What prompted today’s blog is a 6:00 a.m. phone call from someone who wanted advice. While the phone was not answered, i was not able to get the sleep anticipated and admittedly am somewhat grouchy. In the future, everyone (me included) should ask, “What time zone are you on?” Another tactic would be to research the area code of the phone number online to find where it is based. You can find this on a Google search for “area code”.
Another excellent sales strategy is to ask the Hiring Manager or the potential client, “How do you prefer I follow-up? Would you like a phone call, email, another meeting, or I send a message on a social media site? Your inquiry demonstrates thoughtfulness and will be greatly appreciated. It also goes to demonstrating your brand that you are courteous and most likely trustworthy – key ingredients for achieving what you are after, either to be HIRED! or getting the sale.
The right actions will put you on the wave for many a’ Smooth Sale!
