What Does Your Recipe Indicate?

A family member proudly sent a favorite receipe.  It required sauteeing and blending.  However, there were no instructions on how to serve.  It was liquid, so I cleverly poured “The Sauce” over pasta.  I found it to be delicious.

Conveying how much we enjoyed the sauce on the pasta to our relative, I heard loud laughter.  It was meant to be a a dip for vegetables or bread as an appetizer!

What does this have to do with getting a job or a sale?  Everything!  Unless we communicate with clarity, people on the other end will misinterpret  your meaning.  In fact, the lack of clarity may well kill your chance for acquiring what you are after.

In the future double check for clarity:

– conversations

– correspondence or resumes

– proposals or tests

Follow-up each time by asking, “Do you have any questions?”

By following this procedure, you will be more likely to be on the same page and expereince the Smooth Sale!
