The Community that Promotes will Excel
Whichever group you belong to whether for interivewing or business development, and for in-person or online, everyone should have the opportunity to be a star. When we treat one another as equals with having value to bring to the meetings, so much more will be learned to enable our growth at a faster pace.
Online, do you pose questions and provide insight? Do you encourage others to do the same on your pages and in your groups? In-person, do you dominate or ask questions and once again, encourage dialogue? As a member are you encouraged to share your work with other members? As a whole, does your group have the underlying understanding that everyone will work to promote one another?
Over the past couple of years, I have noticed an increase in being asked to share tips in the blogs of others. Some showcase 10 “experts” while others may go as high as 50 advisors. Imagine the difference between putting out a sole article or belonging to a group whereveryone tweets, likes, +1 and shares the writing. This link provides one such example. The promotion is obviously exponential.
