Capture the Entire Picture First

The biggest error both job seekers and salespeople make is that they zero in on one item rather than considering everything involved.  In most cases money is left on the table and the rippling reward of long term satisfaction is far less than what it might have been.

“Jim” is a craftsman who builds cabinets and designs custom furniture.  He was describing how he not only considers the particulars of what is to be built, but also how the design fits in with what is already in place.  From there Jim considers the type of wood, paint, and added design elements.  But he also takes into account the intended usage and what extras he can add in to maximize the experience.  Jim went into great detail of how one project can become very meaningful for both he and his clients.
