Do You Sometimes Feel Like A Pebble in the Ocean?

We have all been guilty looking at others as if they are so much more experienced and accomplished than ourselves.  On occasion we might even wonder “What were they able to do differently?”

This morning proved to be no different.  Luckily, I shared my sentiment of how impressed I am by my newfound friend.  In a relatively short period of time she was able to build a media empire and interview household named guests.  Kudos to Elizabeth Hamilton-Guarino for her accomplishments, the support she offers to society, and her lovely response:

“The thing of it is, we all have our place and we all feel that way.  It is when we put measures aside and respect our contributions and how we each change each others lives as the measure of success that we all grow and succeed. We all help each other shine and sparkle.”

The response goes directly to my philosophy – as you build business, build community, help one another.  Likewise, if you are a job seeker, let other job seekers know about an opening that may not interest you or for which you do not have all the requirements.  As a human being, which life lessons have you learned over the past few years?  Share your insights with others through speaking, writing or just connecting by phone.  Others will be glad you did.

When we learn to appreciate first ourselves and then those around us, and strive to always learn and teach, that’s when we are headed for the Smooth Sale!
