Attract the Right Job or Clientele:
Becoming Whom We Desire to Be for Business Growth
To make a meaningful impact on our work, it is vital to connect with similarly minded individuals and participate in groups that share similar goals and ideals. Gradually, we become well-connected and seen, and the opportunity for guest publicity becomes ours. Moreover, it exemplifies the process of becoming who we desire to be for business growth.
I had the privilege of connecting with Dr. Hoda Kilani, CCDP ®, CPCC, a Career Development Professional and a Career Coach, who has made it her mission to cultivate career literacy globally, shedding light on its pivotal role in shaping successful futures. Dr. Hoda’s mission is to ensure everyone has the tools they need to know who they are and where they want to go. It was a privilege to be her podcast guest, now featured on YouTube, discussing career challenges and story-sharing. Click the link to listen.

Becoming Whom We Desire to Be

Upfront, many of us may ‘dream’ about who we want to become and how we will go about making it happen. But sadly, for most, it doesn’t pay off quickly enough, and the dreams vanish along with ambition. Stubbornness is a requirement – not for proving we are constantly right – but for seeking out better strategies from leaders in the field, our competitors, trustworthy peers, and new-age technology to accelerate our ambition.
Caution: Sometimes we may feel all alone and unappreciated by our peers, making it the right time to strengthen our minds and thinking. An excellent exercise is to repeat to ourselves several times per day, ‘Yes, I can – just watch me!’ This works because we groom our mindset to take small, challenging steps daily to move in the direction we want to go.
‘Individual’ Translates to Unique Path and Mission
Given that we are each perceived as an ‘individual’, then why do others believe we all need to follow the same path? An individual must take time to contemplate what will bring the most pleasure in their work and how they may gradually share what they learn to help others to achieve their desires.
We are to embrace the fact that there is power in hope, dreams, and visions for making each one our reality. The sixth edition of the anthology, ‘Mission Hope’, will be available in January.
Connect with Like-Minded Individuals
Conversations and feedback indicate whom we might partner with, collaborate with, or promote as time moves forward. It may take a long while to find the ‘right one,’ but upon doing so, it’s wise to figure out how to assist one another best. It is remarkable to realize how networks and opportunities expand when we connect with others who share our values and ambitions.
My example is connecting with the organization BizCatalyst360.com, which features articles by writers. Ali Anani, PhD • and I connected there, where he shares insightful plus inspiring articles. His current inspirational share is an article by Lorree Dittrich, who states, “If you feel down, be up for somebody else.” Loree added later, “It’s these simple little things that make the heart sing.” Anani concludes with, ‘Your thoughts count.’
Conclusion: Becoming Whom We Desire to Be for Business Growth
Sadly, most people let the negativity they encounter stop them in their tracks, preventing them from standing out. But it is critical to come to terms with the fact that to stand out, one must pursue their desires until they begin to materialize. The next step is to expand upon the initial phase and continue forward with trustworthy collaborative partners.
