In order to remain solvent in all endeavors albeit career, entrepreneurship or personal, we need to be on top of charges incurred via a routine bottom line examination to achieve top notch results. Examination on occasion is required to determine if we can do better.

My Story
While waiting to pay for groceries, my eyes caught the price of one particular item as the cashier was ringing it up. One modest bag of grapes totaled over $14.00! I gasped. And then I politely asked the cashier to remove the item from my bag. In my mind, the price was outrageous.
Bottom Line Examination Produces
The experience above is a good reminder to regularly examine your bottom line. Should anything stand out as seemingly too expensive, there is a good chance it is and is to be reconsidered. In some cases, a similar service may be just as effective for less cost. For example, web hosting premiums vary greatly between companies while the services offered are very similar.
Review Revenue Streams
A wise practice, prior to every New Year, is to review all services that you subscribe to along with products and services you produce. Ask yourself the following:
- Is the cost of any one venue outrageous?
- Is too much of my time required to produce a particular outcome?
- Should the answer be, ”Yes”, to the last question, do you have something in mind to replace the costly project?
Asking and answering the above questions will direct you to your bottom line examination to reach top notch results.
Strategize
Consider whether you are disappointed, annoyed or downright angry about the fee and the associated circumstance. The reverse order will be a great way to prioritize what is to come next. List all of the possibilities that come to mind either as a replacement. Confer with peers, seriously consider their better ideas, but intuitively use your best judgment.
Inspiration
The worst scenario would be that your substitute program will also prove to be unsuccessful. On the plus side, it will give you a broader perspective of what doesn’t work and greater insight for what might work. Keep in mind that your bottom line examination can lead to top notch results.
Use these lessons to your advantage to create an entirely new program. Frequently, when enough studies are undertaken the end result is far more postiive. It simply takes tweaking and a willingness to adjust procedures in order to get on the right road for success.
Your best scenario is that the new idea proves to be the ticket for advancing forward. It will be cause to celebrate. Solid planning coupled with flexibility is the game changer.
