Thank goodness yesterday’s calamity is over, but the messaging and content I received reinforced my idea that our unique style will lead us to better times. Committing to our style and thought will also help to build our brand on the back end as we trudge through the murky path and climb the hill of uncertainty. While people may speak disparagingly about our actions, ultimately, many will begin admiring our stamina for making our vision come true. Success begins by committing to the fact that connecting the dots brings us to more robust growth.
As yesterday’s blog, Psychology Can Empower Career and Business Growth indicates, whether we know it or not, our unique thinking and actions contain an underlying element of psychology. Moreover, and almost simultaneously, I received a message about how a gentleman works intuitively, allowing his mind to wander to pick up nuggets of inspiration for moving forward. Part of the equation is that those of us who work in this style will initially come across as ‘ridiculous’, but eventually, each new idea will typically be rewarding.

Mindset Matters
Demonstrating a free-flowing mind, the lyrics, ‘Song Sung Blue,’ by Neil Diamond come to mind:
“Me and you are subject to the blues now and then
But when you take the blues and make a song
You sing them out again
Sing them out again.”
While most people prefer to work in the comfort of a group setting as they seek approval from one another, those of us attentive to our free-flowing ideas generally back off for alone time to realize and contemplate the unique path ahead.
On one level, mentally, putting the concept through varying scenarios can create stress and fear of uncertainty. However, giving the idea time to fester and explore it from multiple angles gives more credence to the possibilities ahead and will ultimately create a more solid footing for proceeding.
Moreover, the pursuit and commitment to learning from errors and potentially severe mishaps typically reveal the better path for proceeding. A positive mindset is what you want in your head and on your team! For success to occur, it is critical to unravel all the possibilities for a satisfying outcome and endure the seemingly mental pain that accompanies us at the beginning of our journey.
In the corporate environment, it’s critical to encourage teamwork and a free-flowing exchange of ideas. One method produces little, but when creative thought becomes acceptable, the ideas can become exponential and greatly influence the bottom line with robust business.
Sales Logic
The first person we need to sell our idea to is ourselves. From there, we expanded to telling one trusted person and then another, and soon, we extended it to groups and gradually to online posts. Our verbiage is to be consistent, clear, and simple enough to understand the audience we attempt to reach.
Most critical is that our communications capture the attention of others and even stimulate creative thinking on their end. Our communication style and the words we select include elements of psychology to influence others. For in-person meetings and events, observing the facial expressions and body language (movements) as we speak allows us to dig further into the other party’s mental capacity.
The observations reveal the need for clarification or addressing the other party’s concerns. Doing so is another type of connecting the dots via mind, body, and spirit for more dynamic possibilities.

With psychology included what we play over and over in our minds and hearts deserves our attention. Mentally visualizing what may transpire and how we can make it our best effort yet for an excellent outcome is essential. The essential ingredient is to connect all the dots for more robust growth.
