Outdoor Team-Building Activities for Corporate Teams
Employees are a vital part of every company. Employers and managers should be aware of this and put plenty of effort into ensuring they are satisfied. In addition to enhancing their safety in the workplace, the higher-ups should also be thinking about some team-building activities that can help the team feel more connected. Here are the top 10 outdoor activities to consider.
Plant Trees
For starters, you can do something great for the environment. You can find a local organization dedicated to planting trees and creating more green spaces. Contact them to see how you can be of assistance and help purify the air, reduce climate change, and provide local wildlife with a habitat. You can work together in teams and focus on the same goal.
Clean Up A Beach
Something similar you could try is cleaning up a beach. Of course, this is more convenient if you live near one. See if there is an organization you can join forces with or if you can gather people, find the necessary tools, and start cleaning up. Littering can harm local wildlife, lower property value, and negatively impact the environment, which makes enjoying the great outdoors much harder.
Enjoy A 5K Run/Walk
If you want to be more active, you can exercise like a 5K walk or run. Look for a race that supports a good cause, such as a children’s hospital or people with disabilities, and slowly start training to finish it. Your workers can split into teams, work out together to get in shape, and shine during the race. It can be fun seeing who the best team will be. Those that might not be able to partake could donate, perhaps.
Organize A Scavenger Hunt
Another option you can consider when you want to spend time outside with your team is a scavenger hunt. You can split everyone into groups and let them race to see who will be the first to reach the end. You can make this nature- or history-themed. Scavenger hunts are fun as they typically involve everyone, as you never know who might be able to solve the following riddle.
Try Archery
Perhaps you’d like to try something new that probably not many of your team members have done before. Consider archery for this. After sitting in front of the computer all day, archery can improve balance, upper back strength, and hand-eye coordination. Look for a local archery club and see when you can schedule a team event.
Play Golf
Golf or mini golf is another excellent alternative. If you don’t know much about the sport, you should be able to learn more at the course you decide to visit. Moreover, suppose you incorporate some seminars and presentations into your trip to the nearest golf course. In that case, you will easily find condo rentals where everyone can fully rest for the day ahead.
Play Hide and Seek
When in need of a game, why not go back to a classic that everyone can enjoy? Playing hide and seek in a park or outdoor space is easy, as most of you already know the rules. Raise the stakes by setting a time limit, while you can also play in groups if there are too many participants.
Play Freeze Tag
Another classic that you can also play outside is freeze tag. While everyone probably knows how to play, let’s quickly go over the rules. One or a few team members will be “it” and start chasing other employees. If they catch and tap someone, they must yell, “freeze!” The players that do not experience being frozen can unfreeze the others, and the game ends when the set time runs out or everyone is frozen.
Enjoy A Barbecue
You can also keep it relaxing by organizing a barbecue. Decide who will cook, who will bring salads, and who will be in charge of drinks. You don’t have to do anything special; spend time together and bond!
Do Random Acts of Kindness
Finally, many sorts of random acts of kindness you can practice. Open doors for people, buy adults coffee or kids ice cream, give people compliments, help seniors carry groceries, and more. Split your employees into a few groups and have everyone do various tasks that will put a smile on the faces of people from your community.
In Conclusion: Top 10 Outdoor Team-Building Activities for Corporate Teams
Consider these ten-motivating team-building activities if you want to spend time outside while ensuring your team gets closer. Whichever outdoor team-building activities you select for corporate groups, and managing them well, there will be a noticeable rise in camaraderie.
