This will help you better understand who your buyers are and what they want from a product. It also enables you to identify problems that need solutions so that when it comes time for development, your product can fill those needs successfully and sell as a result.

One great way to get started is conducting interviews with customers or potential customers. You’ll be able to ask questions like:

  • “What are the most frustrating aspects of this problem?”
  • “What would make this better?”

Doing this can help you find an edge on how to create something that sells and has a more significant impact than what’s already on the market today.

Research Your Market 

The first step to developing a product that sells is research. It is essential to know what your customers want and need. Upon being familiar with client wants and needs, you are in a better position to design a product that will solve a problem they have. But how do you do this?

Your best bet is to research online forums where people discuss their problems. For example, if you have a landscaping company, you should spend time on Facebook groups about lawn care or gardening. You’ll find people discussing their lawn-related dilemmas and how they solved them there.

Write A Development Plan and Strategy

The first thing you need to do is write a development plan and strategy. This will help you define what exactly your product does, what it does better than any other products in the market, and who your target audience is. Once you have a plan, it’s time to move on to step two. This will give you an idea of what kind of frequency you need for your plug-in or extension. When testing your product with users, ask them about their experiences with it.
