Focused Action Dramatically Increases Results

Seeking work or entrepreneurial work demands focused attention and dedication to doing your best, each and every day, in order to experience desired results in the shortest amount of time.  However, many become discouraged when a response is not received or they are told “no”.  They begin to question whether the effort is worthwhile. 

Moving Forward

  1. Why did you envision the outcome?

There must have been reasons in mind as to why you decided to move forward; document these and rate each on a scale of 1-5.

  1. Will the end result be worth the effort? 

If the ratings are low, the effort may not be worthwhile.  However, if you still view them as high, consider whether the end result will improve circumstances as they exist today.   

  1. Why do you believe difficulty currently exists?

This is the most challenging question in that it’s difficult to admit when processes need tweaking.  For example, in the sales arena, some salespeople do not remain upbeat when meeting prospective clients, they take too many breaks from work, and don’t’ have an effective time management schedule in place for a daily routine.  Their results are dismal.

Reviewing your work with complete honesty is the best policy.  Tweaking and implementing new procedures put us on the better path ahead.

New Path

Once you are headed in the right direction, compare the new statistics to those of the past.  For example, if you had your resume professionally edited, how many more inquiries are you receiving than before, or, if you are calling prospective clients, how many more appointments are you acquiring than before?

Through the years, revolving doors of hired and fired salespeople have been seen, along with entrepreneurs fleeing the scene.  Why?  In most cases, they didn’t have the motivation to persevere or educate themselves on what works best; other stories include a severe lack of income from continually doing the same.

The benefits for sticking to what you want, through the hardships are many, including feeling as an Olympian having surpassed the seemingly impossible.  You are now able to share your story and the triumph. 

Include in your story, the results of how you helped others along with their testimonials of having worked with you. 

Business and interviewing prospects alike will recognize that you represent a very strong personal brand to become far more interested in you.   It is the focused action that will dramatically increase results and lead you to.the Smooth Sale!
