Including a touch of humor empowers most business conversations and encourages a friendlier, open mindset among peers and friends. Today’s Friday ‘fun’ question is, Have you ever compared yourself to another entity, such as an animal or the stock market? The latter comes to my mind as we typically experience challenging ups and downs, which we can either embrace or use as opportunities for improvement.
I enjoy watching animals, plus the title of the song by Tom Walker that comes to mind reminds me of the elegance of birds flying in the sky: ‘Fly away with me.’ The Chorus Lyrics bring a smile: ‘So come on, fly away with me, to a place where we could be anyone, we wanna be.’ Accordingly, our blog offers insight for ‘Life ups and downs are valuable lessons for business growth.’

Our free-time imaginary vision will bring a smile, hope, and, even better, a new idea to embrace and pursue. Revising the one song line for a second, if you could fly away, the question(s) become:
• To where will you fly?
• What is your ultimate destination?
• What is the reasoning behind your answers?
• Ultimately, what do you ‘hope’ to learn and gain from the experience(s)?
• How do you foresee applying the experience(s) to your career and business?
Typically, excitement comes about upon pondering the answers to the questions. It’s best to take note of all the ideas that come to mind for avoiding the interfering ‘forgetfulness’ or mindset that it won’t work to ‘my’ creative expectations, so I may as well disregard the momentary thought.
Embrace A Positive Mindset
It is vital to know that a positive mindset is critical for future success; otherwise, a negative one hinders progress.
Another aspect that I see applying to the song title, ‘Fly away with me’, is to seek out like-minded individuals. When we surround ourselves with negative people daily, our mission becomes severely challenged. But by collaborating with highly motivated peers to accomplish the almost unthinkable, we are far more likely to experience an uptick in our efforts and outcomes.
Solid Footing on New Ground
It takes courage to discard much of what we previously practiced and replace it with more promising ideals. But ideals can be ‘iffy’. Accordingly, keep your ideals in mind when implementing new and practical strategies, applicable technologies, and attempts to connect with those seemingly already flying above ground. By connecting with people who you believe are much further ahead, you will have much to consider for advancing growth strategies in your style.
Monitor All Processes
It is worth repeating that not every idea or new strategy will perform as we expect. By monitoring each method throughout our changing times, we will know when to either update or discard existing processes and then focus on replacement ideas. The monitoring is ongoing throughout life in general.
Another mindset tip is not to feel defeated when times change, but to give oneself a pep talk to be a leader by embracing change. Doing so will attract more interest in you and the services you have to offer.
Strive to Grow Your Audience
One example from a previous era was the advice to create an entire product line, publish books, train people on the methods of the time, and finally, deliver inspirational and motivational talks at conferences. It’s highly gratifying to do the above, particularly when we believe it’s not in our ‘wheelhouse’. But by putting in the effort and receiving acclaim for doing so, we realize that ‘anything is possible’ when we commit to doing it.
Today, finding ways to grow our presence online is paramount. We must connect with both individuals and companies in two roles: as those with a strong commitment to learning, expanding our reach to a broader audience, and sharing best insights to help others advance alongside us. The outcome benefits everyone as we share positive energy, motivating both ourselves and others to proceed, making it a win for those participating fully.

Upon recognizing that we are leaving the old negativity behind us to enjoy the new positivity ahead, mentally, it does feel as if we are flying away – and for the better! And doing so helps us to acknowledge that life’s ups and downs can be valuable lessons when we are willing to learn from them.
