Attract the Right Job Or Clientele:

Realizing Who You Do Appreciate Will Strengthen the Bond

More email exchanges prompt our blog, ‘Realizing Who You Do Appreciate Will Strengthen the Bond.’ Sifting through the unlimited quantity of emails we receive takes time, and sometimes it feels time-consuming and annoying. But when the special communications arrive, I stop everything to attend to them to build our unique connection further.

Like most other platforms and in-person connections, we can find annoyances or focus on those we admire. The familiar cheer, ‘2-4-6-8 – who do you appreciate?’ comes to mind. Providing genuine appreciation for our special connection allows us to pay homage and realize how best to approach those we meet and strengthen the bond.

My Story

The last week of the year, should that be on the books, is typically slower than most. The exception is last-minute closing sales, which are naturally the most significant and burdensome but appreciated greatly.

Many not in a sales career are taking time off to enjoy the holiday spirit. Accordingly, it becomes an excellent time for each of us to create a list of the people who were especially helpful throughout the year and those whose company we enjoy. The e-card companies provide varying greetings to personalize and send. It’s an excellent way to reach out and acknowledge those you appreciate. The bonus is the efficiency of sending the cards. The appreciation becomes a two-way effort: You express your thanks for the business and friendship, and those on the receiving end return the favor. These extra steps contribute to building sound relationships and additional business when the time is right.

Upon realizing who motivates us to continue forward, an excellent strategy for business is to seek out collaborative methods. The purpose is to highlight one another in front of the groups in which we may have yet to be aware but soon actively participate. Doing so enables further growth by strengthening our ties, allowing all those involved to expand our audience reach collectively.

Previously, I wrote the post, ‘Do You Look Forward To The Best for Last?’ paying tribute to a group whose members I wholeheartedly admire! It’s a slow process to build the appropriate networks. It begins by defining our purpose and recognizing those with whom we want to connect. Over time, we remember those who hold similar ambitions but with the desire to reciprocate in every way possible.

A significant benefit to what the collaborative effort can produce is that of offers for traditional publicity. Without fees involved, companies request they feature us. The underlying commonality that benefits all is in realizing the services we may offer to their audiences.

Benefits of Publicizing Another:

  • The person’s name and offerings appear in front of new people for potential new business.
  • Highlighting the services of the person in honor may benefit some or many individuals.
  • The person or company originating the connections receives appreciation from both sides and potentially additional business.

I received a welcome offer from Feed My Reads to share with our audiences how and why I became an author. My story is highly unusual because becoming an author was never on my mind. Still, one highly embarrassing event turned the tables to push me into writing the corporate tell-all manuscript that broke many records to become ‘Nice Girls DO Get The Sale: Relationship Building That Gets Results’ published by Sourcebooks, now Evergreen and among the Classics. The effort put my entrepreneurship on the better track (much better!) Your Story: Realizing Who You Do Appreciate Will Strengthen the Bond

In our world of disruptions, expression of appreciation is more essential than ever. Rarely will a person not appreciate kind words. Appreciation is a rarity in the business world, so it often stops people on their heels upon receiving it.

A new year is coming upon us, and I encourage you to take the challenge: If you don’t do it already, make it a point in each client encounter to express your appreciation or admiration for something they already do.

In Conclusion: Who You Do Appreciate Will Strengthen the Bond

You can take all the sales training available and apply every strategy you like, but in all seriousness, respect and thoughtfulness differentiate one from the crowd. If you doubt, the only way to know is to test the theory! And if you find it works well for you, continue with it.
