Attract the Right Job or Clientele:  5 Time Efficient Techniques to Improve Your Bottom Line

As a businessperson or one who is doing your best to advance your career, you are very familiar with the adage “time is money”.  Unfortunately, too many people are aware of the implication but don’t know how to fix the problem of wasted time.

The following 5 ideas are provided to give thought on areas for improvement:

Running task list

At the end of each working day, create goals to be completed the next day.  The reason for doing so is to eliminate the wasted time in trying to recall what needs to be done.  Another element that interrupts the flow will be either emergencies or distractions to throw you off course.  By continually crossing off completed tasks and adding new ones to the list, you increase motivation to keep moving forward.

Goal setting

Without clear-cut goals, business and career frequently drift versus forging forward.  With your biggest vision in mind, create a 12-month goal that will require extra effort.  The reason being is that strict efficiency will enable you to achieve far more than previously realized.  Working backwards, create quarterly and monthly goals aligned with the 12-month goal.

CRM

Database usage is of the essence to capture all contact information, notes from client meetings, and dates to follow-up.  Should you be a highly active professional, it would be impossible to remember everything you need to know.  The worst is to not promptly follow up with clients as you originally promised.  This one act of negligence frequently kills the sale.  Professional follow-up signifies outstanding customer service and will greatly increase sales.

Calendar

The minute you set an appointment, no matter the style, capture the name of the person, the venue, and the time on your phone, desktop and/or tablet.  Set an alarm to ring 30 minutes prior to the appointment.  The reason for this is to review notes, website, social media entries and all else you might research in order to have an invigorating conversation.  Once again, set the alarm for 5 minutes prior to the appointment to get mentally prepared for the conversation.

Leverage

An important part of time efficiency is leveraging what you already have in place.  Instead of reinventing the wheel each time you wish to begin a new project, do your best to take elements from what you did prior.  Sometimes all you need to do is freshen up the tone to bring up to date.  Review what caught the most attention with your social media followings and where clients have had the most questions.  These are areas on which to expand upon and grow your business.

Following these 5 time efficiency strategies will enable you to build a stronger business in less time.  The public will take notice and be impressed by all you do to ultimately attract increased sales.
