Attract the Right Job Or Clientele:

Are You Ready To Reinvigorate Your Career?

No job or business is ever perfect, but it’s best to acknowledge if you are ready to reinvigorate your career when stalled. We experience highs and lows in our endeavors that include happiness, disappointment, and a return to the enthusiasm with the prospect of something new ahead. At least quarterly, it’s wise to examine where you are to determine if it’s time for the next steps forward.

As my experience with sales began to increase, I would set new challenges ahead to keep my enthusiasm for the job alive. Examples include:

  1. Entering a C-suite for the first time and many times afterward
  2. Earning business from modestly-sized companies
  3. Creating a loyal clientele
  4. Selling to a Fortune 500 Company
  5. Selling to a Fortune 100 Company
  6. Repeating the sales effort with the larger companies for robust sales and rewards

Entrepreneurship creates more challenges than one can imagine. The dedication to reinvigorate your career or business is essential for doing well. Attempting new methods, one by one, to determine which works best became the new strategy for business growth. The effort included:

  • Varying networking groups
  • Creating a product line
  • Training sales teams and entrepreneurs
  • Speaking at conferences
  • Turning to write books and eventually blogging

Underlying all of the varying efforts is that time never stands still. We either are ahead of the curve, struggling to keep up with the thought of quitting or fighting the ‘you should do’ syndrome of copying what everyone else does.

No matter the route we each select, it’s essential to be passionate enough to pursue what it takes to be successful: formal classes, a mentor, and the commitment to research all help reinvigorate our careers. But to make it work well, it is necessary to prioritize what we each desire to continue our momentum in the right direction.

For momentum to continue, three factors are essential:

  1. Politely excuse ourselves from those who belittle our efforts
  2. Qualify and match the priorities of others to ensure a 360-degree supportive group
  3. Strive for collaborative projects whenever possible

By monitoring our activities and efforts with others, we are more likely to see what else we may include adding to the momentum. Also, striving to incorporate new technology and social strategies within the budget and advantageous to our clientele will add to business growth. The underlying factor is that our personal growth improves, too, thus building further momentum.

The question now is, are you ready to reinvigorate your career?

Your Story: Are You Ready To Reinvigorate Your Career?

Many people struggle with tier syndrome at work, feeling under-appreciated. The lack of diversity, equity, and inclusion, feels impossible for many. And the idea of becoming a manager or among the executive team seems unrealistic to most. Those who own businesses may feel defeated regarding profit vs. expense in their companies. Should either scenario be similar to yours, the time may be suitable to consider if you are ready to reinvigorate your career.

It may be best to begin by confidentially speaking with trusted peers to hear their thoughts. Specifically, ask if they encountered troubling issues and how they were able to move past them. It may be an excellent investment to speak with a career counselor or business coach, but initially interview a few to again find the better match for what you want to achieve. Your goals come first and should always be at the center of your attention each working day.

At the core of making change is the need to remind yourself that you can achieve anything you set your mind to doing. A negative mindset accomplishes little. But when you begin to turn the downward thought into positive and possibly uplifting thinking, a smile and motivation soon take over. If you aren’t’ accustomed to giving yourself a pep talk every morning, I encourage you to begin testing the theory to see what it may do for you.

‘To reinvigorate your career, come to terms with what you ‘wish’ to accomplish, and adopt a positive mindset to achieve your vision!

Beginning in a new area of your work often requires doing so alone. But as you feel confident and see signs of things working out to your satisfaction, it becomes time to consider varying types of partners. For a more robust program, it’s helpful to include a collaborative effort among those who match your values and ideals.

Even better will be to consider the types of communities you want to serve and include in your programs. Your help will contribute to a 360 of goodwill, serving more people, and building a notable brand and business. Seeing and feeling the appreciation for the extra good you bring into the lives of others will have you realize all of the previous detours redirected you to reinvigorate your career!
