Attract the Right Job Or Clientele:
Do You Use Research to Plan?
When an exciting idea moves business forward, it is highly tempting to offer an immediate response: ‘Yes! Count me in!’ It is often the right move, while hesitation may have us losing out on the opportunity. However, should a potential interference exist for our current status per business and networks, it is time to put on the breaks. The juncture is the time for us to use research to plan.
My Story
As we begin our business journey, many of us are uncertain about the necessary growth strategies and how to increase our achievements steadily. Those brave enough will test the waters to see what works in real-time. At the beginning phase, there is little to lose and much to gain, so testing a new idea is not much of an issue.
As we advance to the middle of the road in our journey, much more is at stake. We do not want to harm what we have already built, our reputation, or damage doing business with our social connections or clientele.
Most of us realize that it’s essential today to use caution before saying yes to ‘opportunities’ or agreeing to do business in a new style. While I am agreeable to testing ideas, there can be a point of no return if we do not take the time to realize the pros and cons of moving forward.
Today’s social environment that has us being online in front of a global audience requires us to use extra caution. Researching the suggestions for strategy, new apps, and technology is vital to ensure they are safe to implement and adhere to our values and that our brand remains safe.
For example, occasionally, new apps for utilizing social media platforms come to our attention, and one bot app caught mine. Due to my sizable following regarding the one in question, I researched whether or not it would be a good idea to move forward with the new app.
The time spent reading all the legality proved well worthwhile. It opened my eyes to all the underlying strategies that will be in play should I agree to use the app. Some of it was surprising and almost alarming due to my goal to maintain my account’s integrity. Caution became the qualifier for me not to move forward.
Your Story: Use Research to Plan
Entrepreneurs are solely responsible for all outcomes, no matter the interference that may take place. If something costly occurs without warning, it can quickly put one out of business. The bottom line depends upon you using research to make an effort worthy of your time. Your time investment in learning the facts is nothing compared to having to close the shop for good.
The larger the company, the more is at stake regarding losing or earning money. Larger companies may have teams that dedicate themselves to researching on behalf of the company. They must be adequately trained and not cut corners while performing their duties. The team’s research can make or break a company; all members should receive proper training.
On a more positive note, it is always best to consider all ideas, the more creative, the better. As long as the concept is unlikely to affect current networks or growth but has potential for additional business, it is in your best interest to try it. We never know when the more unusual one may present the perfect timing to test it out. But ensure you do research the pros and cons before diving in wholeheartedly.
In Conclusion: Use Research to Plan
Protecting our accounts in every regard is essential to avoid disasters presenting challenging recovery and protect all that we have in place. The one sure way to do so is to use research to plan. The time spent is an excellent investment as it will protect business and keep us on the path to ongoing growth.
