Turn Thought Into Action

Frequently, as I’m intently listening to another, ideas come to mind.  Thought of introductions to be made, suggestions of a new route to take, or feedback on questions flow through.  Once I realized this is intuition working at its best, I began to take immediate action.

Holding back on these thoughts merely hold us and our business back.  But I found by offering advice, asking prompted questions and making those introductions immediately after the conversation ends will help the other party as well as build a solid foundation for our relationship and potential future business.  In some cases I’m asked to consult and in others to partner on projects.

If turning thought into action is not a normal routine for you,  then try this exercise:

The next time you are in conversation with someone, or you are relaxed and thinking of another, as the extraneous thoughts come to you, act upon them.  Keep record of what happens next and the results to be found later.  You may well be surprised by the improvements you find in your business or career.  Doing this alone will increase the numbers of people getting to know you, like you and trusting you – all of which leads to improved business development and increased sales.  It will also lead to a wider network of people helping you to find work or whatever is on your agenda.
