Attract the Right Job Or Clientele:

Selling applies to all of our communications, including getting ready to create new statistics. We communicate to influence business. Working from home affords us time to give new thought to the strategies that could enhance sales. It will be excellent preparation for when we return to a more natural working environment.

Today’s statistics are only temporary. The goal is to surpass the current standards as we prepare to create new statistics.

Today’s story is two-fold. We first address the issue of practices being out of date. Next, we explore the question of whether we are ready to enhance our effort and create new records.

My Story: Ready to Create New Statistics

We are hearing that the style of selling is changing. Technology is advancing every daily. A good habit is to remain abreast of the new, and potentially ahead of the curve. For example, the old-fashioned knocking on doors in assigned territories is over.  Today, we have call centers and social platforms.

However, what once worked in the field applies well to today’s communications.  Similarly, our meetings are taking place with video technology. The question is, how can we create new statistics?

When it comes to strategy for efficiency and effectiveness, a favorite saying comes into play,

Combining the old-fashioned niceties with new-age technology is the savviest strategy of all.

Long ago, Dale Carnegie suggested that calling a person by their proper name is what catches attention from a stranger. Adding in respect and thoughtfulness, the stranger listens and seeks to learn more. One more prospect adds to the potential client list.

Ready to Break Old Records and Create New Statistics

We can easily apply the advice to social platforms such as LinkedIn. Receiving messages that begin with, ‘hey there’ or ‘hey beautiful’ is a turn-off. On the other hand, researching a person’s profile and remembering their name builds credibility and enhances the positive response ratio.

On Twitter, information is provided on machine learning, artificial intelligence, and the latest in robotics.  But, we also read messaging about the merits of incorporating kindness and respect for all. The gesture will never go out of style.  Instead, a more meaningful conversation develops.

Combing the old-fashioned niceties with new-age technology brings into question:

  • The hiring process
  • Treatment of corporate team members
  • The rise to the executive level

Most business has taken a big hit.  Employees are questioning if they will still have a job.  Many are beginning the interviewing process.  Others are hopeful that in their absence, appreciation toward them will increase.  Preparation for returning to the usual work environment is underway. Consider what you can do to enhance the work environment and employee loyalty.

Are you ready to create new statistics?

Accordingly, I am honored to announce that I will be joining Predictable Revenue on a new webinar called “Believe, Become, Empower.” Sarah Hicks and I will be talking about the fundamentals of selling and how we can apply them to the hiring process.

Join us today, April 28th, at 11 AM Pacific Time. The topics include giving a boost to your professional life, and finding new opportunities.  I will also share with you more about my mission to connect with other leaders to help younger generations advance their careers.

Our conversation today will center on two topics:

#1. Barriers to inequality.

How leadership can begin eliminating barriers, and help employees to achieve their career goals

#2. The fundamentals of selling and how we can apply them to the hiring process. The topic will include:

  • Boost your business or professional life
  • Increase employee loyalty

My style is to share the more meaningful lessons learned, including the good and the bad.  The purpose is for younger generations to create new statistics by improving their performance.

Upon reading articles that I dislike, I question whether I’m ready to create new statistics. One organization that dedicates itself to researching equality made an alarming statement. The company predicts it will take 275 years for women to achieve equal status.

The statement is both believable and unbelievable from my perspective. It is credible in that not much has changed since I was in the corporate environment. At the same time, it is incredible that more action is not underway to create new statistics.

  1. Females comprise about half the population, so why isn’t progress being seen?
  2. Worse is that females give birth and raise sons.  What are they missing in training them to treat everyone with equal respect?
  3. Can’t the sons show their appreciation by providing equal opportunity wherever they may?

Both men and women share responsibility in the matter.

As a woman, we can never give up our desire to move forward and fight for equality. Second, I believe that today’s records are temporary. We are ready to create new statistics.

Your Story: Are You Ready To Create New Statistics?

If you feel stuck where you are, or are considering a new direction, register for today’s webinar. Should you learn only one new idea, the time will be well-spent. And as you listen, compare your experience to those of the moderator and guest.

Answer these questions:

  1. Are you happy with your progress
  2. Do you feel short-changed in the ability to utilize your talent
  3. Is it time to make a switch or consider entrepreneurship?

Another piece to the soul searching aspect is to consider how you may help communities at large as you make advancements. Sometimes leading is unexpectedly thrust upon us.

  • How can you share your experiences with groups to help them expand their thinking?
  • Are you ready to take on advocacy for equality?
  • Are you willing to present reason to executives at your corporation to work toward more inclusiveness?

As you listen to the webinar, give thought to the improvement you believe will benefit many. And then begin working out a plan to have your voice advocate for what’s right and best.

Keeping your eye on the bigger goal, you will carve out the next steps for your advancement. Together we all win.
