Attract The Right Job Or Clientele:

Are You Ready to Try Something New?

Conversations indicate that many believe the challenge of learning about new technology and how to apply it is too cumbersome and not worth the time. Time is precious, and should we waste time doing the old, tried, and true without the desired results, it can signal that we may be ready to try something new. However, not attempting to keep up or acquire help only slows growth and ambition. I’m sure this is something most people can relate to with the emergence of technologies such as Zoom during the pandemic.

A time-out is to find oneself at the point of stopping or finding a new direction. The dilemma raises the difficult question, ‘should I quit entirely?’  We can only answer the question ourselves because no one is fully aware of the related issues, thoughts, and creative ideas underlying everything we do. Some desire to create a legacy, others want to begin entrepreneurship, and a few may have the ambition to help change societal perspectives. Small steps or an out-of-the-box vision all require contemplation of our ultimate goal.

My Story:

Sometimes we are to reconcile with ourselves that what we know to be tried and true is now meaningless. My reply surprised him when I heard a young person speak in educational terms about his father’s recent errors (minus any gossip). I asked that he specifically share the main mistakes he sees so I won’t repeat them.

While no one has all the answers, we can learn more by inquiring about those who have trouble resolving issues we may encounter. As time progresses, reviewing everything we have in place serves us well. In addition to traditional approaches to business and careers, simplification is often the next step. Today’s technology can help us if we are willing to take the time to do the research.

Corporate environments have the advantage of teamwork should they choose to utilize it properly.  Traditionally, only a select few were given the attention to hear their ideas.  But as diversity and inclusiveness take hold, more robust solutions may be implemented to the company’s benefit.

Similarly, small business owners can mirror the same to remain an admired place to visit. Recently, the opportunity to visit a resort stood out in its quest to hire personnel of global heritage. With travel restrictions over the past two years, it was a treat to interact with a few people from different parts of the world. And it was a perfect example of how diversity and inclusion may work to everyone’s benefit. But there was one question in mind, given the unusual hiring practice. With diversity and inclusion comes the question of equity. Are the employees receiving the same wages as a traditional Caucasian staff? Equality in employment is my quest for males, females, and differing ethnicities.

Entrepreneurship is more challenging with the lack of teamwork. Most begin by themselves, trying to figure out what works well individually. But it comes to a point where the single-thread approach is not robust enough. Partnerships and collaborative efforts become essential for a more effective branding program. It is branding and doing business with integrity that effectively attracts clientele.

As an entrepreneur, I seek out online information of interest that colleagues post. Reading the commentary and insights often gives way to new ideas and connections. Asking colleagues for their insights about how I may improve a strategy proves helpful, too. The other side to doing ‘the same old for me is that I quickly get bored. By researching and testing new ideas, the work remains fresh and energizing. I’m almost always ready to try something new and encourage readers to consider the same.

Your Story:
Are You Ready to Try Something New?

We often hear people say they are ready to try something new but never witness them following through on what they say they will do. Life gets in the way, such as family issues, monetary stress, and in recent times, the pandemic. However, the more determined few find ways to deal with what they need and move forward to attempt new ideas. Give pause for how you deal with challenges, delays, and ideas for moving forward.

The better tactic is to prioritize the ‘must complete projects within the timeline. Next, figure out what may enhance your business and bring your vision to life. Begin capturing all things associated with seeing the concept through to completion.

Upon listing the main topics, add the education necessary for implementation well. Once again, prioritize what inspires you most. Education can be important for gaining credibility when moving into a new field, whether starting a business or looking to work for an employer. Educating yourself can take time but will ultimately be rewarding if you stick with it. You don’t have to pursue a college education. In most industries, there are multiple education routes. For example, when it comes to aviation jobs, there are courses niche offered by companies like Aeroclass and more general college courses. Decide which form of education is likely to motivate you the most.

Efficiency for completing projects incorporates target dates for completion. Next to each goal, write down the date you expect to complete each task. Review your list before work begins each morning and ends each evening. By keeping the list front and center, you re-emphasize what is essential to you in your mind and heart. Doing so increases the energy level for achieving the goals you set.

By following the system for setting goals with target dates, you may find a new approach to business and life by always being ready to try something new!
