How are you dealing with the details?

This morning, I was emailed a congratulatory note that I was nominated for an award.  All I had to do was fill out information online.  Thus, the process began…

To my surprise, the first link did not work but persevering, the second one did.  I took unexpected time this morning to fill out the requested information.  The last piece was to include some marketing information.  I found the right document, copied and pasted.

The final step was to press the “submit” button.  And then, everything for which I took the time to enter, faded away into oblivion.  The only thing left to do was to write the person who originally sent the invitation requesting my information be entered.  I thanked him for the intneded honor and then proceded to ask for help.  There was nothing left to do.  Should it be legitimate, I’m positive he will respond; otherwise, it’s time to “move on” to a much improved scenario!
