Attract the Right Job or Clientele:
Develop Resilience to Jealousy and Enhance Business Growth
Most likely, it is rare for anyone never to hear an ugly comment about them as they mature. Even in corporate life, negativity is a popular thread within many companies. Some people tend to hide because of the ugliness around them, while others, like me, will stand up for what is fair and just. Our message is, ‘Develop resilience to jealousy and enhance business growth.’
Have you ever considered quitting because of hurtful remarks from others?
Quiet time allows you to reflect on the pros and cons of what was said to find a better path forward.

Accordingly, an article by Ali Anani, PhD, caught my attention. He shares insights concerning how the ‘Sting in the air’ was an everyday occurrence for me for decades. But it was the combined effect that brought my motto to mind, ‘Never give up – find a better way!’ Growing up with bullies was agonizing, but it taught me how to move past challenging times to enjoy my pursuits – My Way – aka Frank Sinatra’s song lyrics, ‘I did it my way!’

Dealing with Jealousy
I was continually told in my childhood that people are nasty due to jealousy. But over-consumed with nasty commentary, I wondered ‘why on earth would anyone be jealous?’ On the other hand, my sting helped me take on another dimension: appreciating quiet time to sort out my thoughts and those of others. I desired to confirm whether what was being directed at me was valid or whether, indeed, jealousy was a part of the issue, and to visualize my next best effort.
My approach was to weigh all the pros and cons to find a better approach, or, in fact, to determine whether jealousy was a part of the commentary directed at me. The bonus was to become an active goal-setter to move past ‘today’ and enjoy ‘tomorrow’. Given that I never fit into the crowd, I used my alone time to visualize desires and to achieve them. Ironically, the keynote address at the high school graduation referenced Robert Frost, who proudly said, ‘I took the road less traveled.’ It was the most meaningful statement I ever learned in school.
Going Solo to Enjoy Collaborations
Entrepreneurship is the perfect endeavor for someone whose ideas are never appreciated, as it involves a lot of alone time and sparks creativity. Today, I’m on my 4th venture and enjoy it far more than I ever imagined. After all these years, I connected with individuals and communities that bring meaning not only to me but to audiences at large. Our commonality is striving to share our best, encourage others to do their best, and share our experiences so more people can benefit.
Partnering
Upon finding people with similar values and principles, including being trustworthy, we can expand our ideas and ultimately make advancements for greater growth. Moreover, it becomes more enjoyable knowing there are a few special people in our corner willing to help and collaborate as time moves forward.
Conclusion: Develop Resilience to Jealousy and Enhance Business Growth
It’s not uncommon for many to take ‘the road less traveled’ to make a statement, develop our brand, and become known. However, upon building the foundation, it becomes time to seek ideas on how to build a high-traffic road that creates attention, encourages new ideas and collaborative efforts, and drives us to unforeseen areas never visited before.
