Attract the Right Job or Clientele:

Reasons are plentiful as to why people try their hand at growing a business. For most, the purpose of building a business is to make money, and for others, they wish to convert their passion into something they will always enjoy. In addition to creating new products and services, we face the need to take care of the financials to pay taxes, personal bills and find further success.

My Story

Although I never became a day-trader or a financial advisor, I always keep my eye on the markets. As a sales or business professional, it’s important to know where the economies stand and to be familiar with new laws in effect. Familiarity with markets provides a direct path to having in-depth conversations with clientele. The markets affect everyone and every type of business.

Empathy regarding the unknown, down economies, and cheering for others in good times, goes a long way to building relationships and sales. I recognized that speaking about the markets from the prospect’s perspective is one of the best ways to conduct business. The upfront effort demonstrates a willingness to put in the work before the sale, and this alone is a great builder of trust.  The research done ahead of time is particularly welcomed on job interviews.

Wherever you are in business, it’s always wise to have backup funds for the “just in case” scenario. We never know when a surprise of the worst kind will hit. To be on the safe side, I take extra time on occasion to take a class on related topics. I am looking forward to participating this summer in the Global Finance Credit Conference and Expo as a speaker.

You may get involved in a variety of ways:

  • Attend the conference
  • Be a vendor in the Expo Hall
  • Become a Sponsor
  • Write to have your questions answered: info@gfcconexpo.com
