Looking for ways to improve your productivity and close more deals or receive more offers for job interviews? Productivity may be the key. Becoming more productive allows you to follow-up with more leads each workday, process more sales and more. Check out these tips to increase your productivity and get more sales.

Get organized to become more productive and close more deals.

Set a Goal

What do you hope to achieve at work today, this week and beyond? Boosting your workplace productivity starts with defining goals. Workplace goals help you determine priorities and help keep you on track. By working toward sales goals, you’ll be more likely to stay on task each workday in striving to achieve those objectives.

Reduce Distractions

According to 4 Ways to Make your Workweek more Productive, workplace distractions can be a major hindrance to productivity. For example, new emails, coworker conversations, and other distractions can keep you from making important sales calls.

Reduce your biggest workplace distractions to increase your productivity. When it’s time to make sales calls or handle other sales duties, check out of email, close your office door, or take another action to help you focus on the tasks you need to complete.

Focus on Positives

Thinking of rejections you may receive from sales leads can cause you to avoid making sales calls and to focus instead on other trivial tasks. Rather than thinking about what could go wrong, focus instead on the positive aspects of your sales job. Think about how great you feel after closing a sale, how clients benefit from doing business with you and more. By focusing on the positives, you’ll be more likely to stay on task with your important sales job duties.

Create Processes

Several steps are likely included in your sales process. From finding leads to processing the sales paperwork, keeping track of each sales step can take a lot of time. Streamline your sales processes to improve your productivity.

For example, research whether any online apps are available to help you gather signatures on sales contracts and to quickly pass along those contracts to all involved parties. By creating and streamlining sales processes, you’ll free up more time each workday to close more deals.

Assess Progress

Feel good about becoming more productive by tracking your progress on productivity goals. Set a one-month goal on becoming more productive and, at the end of the month, assess where you started and how you ended. Evaluate anything you could have done better and set another goal for the next month. This ongoing process prevents you from slipping back into old habits and allows you to continually improve your ways.

Organize your Space

How organized is your workspace? If your desk is filled with piles of paper that need to be filed or if you regularly can’t locate items you need, take some time to organize your space. An organized space increases productivity by allowing you to find what you need when you need it, by helping you feel more at ease and more.

Get more sales each week by improving your productivity. Become more productive by setting sales goals, by reducing workplace distractions and more.
