Do you work during holidays?
Balancing life activities as an entrepreneur is an even more difficult task because we are solely responsible for bringing in money. I am more fortunate than because I had a computer that could balance life for me! His nickname was PC.
On the eve of Memorial holiday, PC shut down on his own. He was tired and apparently wanted me to rest too. So I enjoyed a wonderful neighborhood party with friends. After the holiday, my PC returned to work.
Just prior to Labor Day weekend, PC was exhausted and blacked out. The next evening, upon smelling smoke, I determined PC was saying his last goodbyes. We all chose to rest and became focused on enjoying the holidays.
My husband and I attended two fabulous parties where we met many people from the community. Where sparks of interest arose, we each shared our marketing messages about our life’s work. Some business cards were exchanged.
We made new friends, built relationships further with those we knew and had a wonderful time. Knowing I could not work allowed me to be carefree. Monday morning we purchased a new computer but left it in the box to attend one more party. Relaxed and happy, that evening, we began to install the new Apple of my eye while saying goodbye to PC – and giving one last word of thanks!
When you change your mindset to taking the time to enjoy weekends, holidays, family and friends, you will find it is the smile you wear and carefree attitude which attract prospects to your endeavor easily turning them into clients. Work is a breeze when you return relaxed and happy. Building the relationships brings about repeat business, referrals and testimonials – or – a very Smooth Sale!
