Finding A Better Solution
We all of “those days” when we wonder what is it about ourselves that nothing seems to work. Brutal honesty will dictate: talent wasn’t utilized correctly, people chemistry didn’t work, a big error was made, or the project just didn’t deserve 100% of your effort and so it wasn’t provided.
Taking time to reflect on the areas to be addressed for future business development or job interviews will serve to put you on a better path the next time around. The worst thing you can do is beat yourself up mentally because something did not work out the way it should. Doing so will prevent you from putting in 100% the next time around.
Instead, be of the mindset to contemplate the best lessons learned, what you liked least as well as enjoyed the most about the previous experience. Doing so provides insight as to what to focus on next in order to move forward on a positive footing. Conferring with friends may help soothe some of the pain. But given our uniqueness or personal brand, we each are the only ones who truly can rescue a situation to turn it into something better than previously thought possible.
Willingness to learn and implement improved strategies will lead to a better course of action. Sometimes it takes many attempts to find exactly what you have been seeking the entire time. Once you do find what you are seeking, the sale is natural and easy.
