Coping with Being “Swamped”
The holidays add more “have to do’s” to our list of every day tasks, and many times special requests come in too. It’s difficult sometimes to complete all of the required tasks let alone find time to relax.
These ideas apply to the job hunt, interviewing and following up with the hiring manager. They also apply to the many hats of entrepreneurship.
My suggestion is to have a running task list. At the end of each working week, while all is fresh in your mind, create a must do project list for the following week. Each evening create a must do task list for the following day. By having these at your fingertips, you literally save a lot of time daily.
But on those stressful days with interruption and too much at hand, create a safety net backup plan. Perhaps a few hours on the weekend will help alleviate some of what you have to do or extra time in the evening. One imortant added step is to rioritize everything including interruptions and you may again find extra time saved.
Wishing you a stress-less holiday season and a very Smooth Sale!
