Minimize Frustration

Conversations this week led to similar conclusions although of a variety of topics.  They all centered on frustrations and how to get past them.  Topics included:

– Hate my job

– Changed all of my friends

– Toughest roadblocks proved to be the best guides

Everyone agreed that when a point is hit that makes you want to crawl into bed, the better approach is to allow oneself to take time off to contemplate what just happened.  Let the anger subside.  Then work on finding finer points in the day.  Take a walk to enjoy the outdoor air, and feel yourself relax a bit.

With a refreshed mindset, review all the steps that led up to the mishap.  Was a red flag overlooked, were you a mis-match from the beginning but hoped to make it work, or did the other party just not live up to promises?  Were expectations out of line, did you lose money, what is the most improtant step to take now?  Finally, make a long list of what you next want in career, relationships and business.

The second agreement among us was that as we more fully define ourselves, and what our expectations are, the easier it becomes to find an improved match.  This holds true for all aspects of life.  Once you determine the improved match and begin to proceed down the path, be cognizant of how you feel taking the reigns to improve your status.  Looking back, you just might be happy that the hard lesson happened to you.
