“When it rains it pours”

It happened once again – multiple offers to collaborate all at the same time.  Some say too much of a good thing isn’t good at all, but I believe it is.  The positive side of thinking shows that you have achieved the next level for where you are headed, and others are noticing.  They want to share the action and so are seeking ways to collaborate.

What does this mean for you?  Priorities are essential to determine which of the many opportunities are right for you.  The usual qualifiers are time and money involvement.  Next in line is, can you do the project justice?  

Deeper than the above, the question becomes, do you even want to do the project justice?  Is it compatible with waht you are trying to accomplish and the steadfast underlying message of your personal brand?  Jeopardizing your brand in any way will compromise all else you ever hope to achieve.  Consistency is key.

Determine if the collaboration will reach your desired audience and bring you potentially greater job leads or sales. And when all is said and done, will you enjoy participating?  These are all questions that need to be determined prior to declining or accepting.  Over time, it will become intuitive as to which ones to accept.
