Do you anticipate how business will change?

Most entrepreneurs rush to utilize a new strategy without considering the implications down the road. In fact, this question arose twice today. Sadly the people concerned admitted they did not take into account their actions until it was too late.

One person was fairly new in their entrepreneurship. Polly admitted she grew far too quickly and had to pull the plug on many of her activities. The good news is she quickly realized her error so that not too much time or money were wasted and she is able to easily rebuild with a more solid footing.

Corey had a great business growing but admitted he wanted to impress potential corporate clients. So his bright idea was to bring about partnerships around the U.S. and open a variety of offices to handle a wider variety of clients at multiple locations. The problem with this approach is he had to forego control, decisions were no longer his and he was bound to new legal agreements. His only decision now is whether to continue as is or simply walk away from the company that was once his.

Entrepreneurs do not have the luxury of standing still. You must take calculated risk. But in that calculation you have to take into account of what is likely to be the outcome. When you change your mindset from rushing into new strategies to serious consideration you will lessen the risk. Proceeding on a slower and steadier footing will not only attract new prospects but will help business development in a more secure fashion.

When you are seen in a stable light, your leadership skills will come shining through attracting new clients and allowing for better relationships and customer service . You will close more sales and they will be a Smooth Sale!
