Attract the Right Job or Clientele: Convert What You Hear into Your Next Best Project
Unless we are willing to truly listen to what others have to say, we will miss outstanding opportunities. The more strategic approach is to compare notes among the insights heard from multiple sources. It’s possible that just one keyword will transform your focus into a new and improved project or career.
Example
The most recent example is that of my hearing several highly successful entrepreneurs using the words youth, education, and community service. These individuals each have the goal of helping youth to believe in, and challenge themselves, to pursue a career of their dreams.
The idea spoke to me because in previous years, I provided programs for community and state colleges for graduating students on the topics of sales and how to best interview for a job. My conversations with the people referred to, spurred momentum once again to pursue that track. In the meantime, several asked to partner with me on a variety of levels.
Had I not been keenly aware of their ideas and that we align with one another in thought, these collaborative efforts would never take place. The programs are now in development stage and will hopefully come alive by the last quarter of the year. The ultimate idea for business is, when we combine forces to benefit communities, our reward is in seeing many succeed.
Income Conversion
On the business end, needing to convert our efforts into income, some of these programs are bound to attract sponsors. The other possibility is to attract funding in order to promote a larger effort. Possibilities are now many, and it’s due to listening to what others have to say.

- Where does your main interest lie?
Paying attention to the answers of these questions may likewise provide you with insight as to your next best program and potential collaborative effort.
Past Conversations
- With whom did you have conversation in regard to the above questions?
- Who do you know that may be potentially interested in a collaborative effort?
- Which communities are most approachable to give your idea a try?
Independently and collectively (once you figure out who your new partners will be) reach out to your combined list of communities to determine where the best fit resides.
The reception for your new effort stands to be warmer than anticipated and will lead to the Smooth Sale!
