5 Success Strategies Apply to Almost Every Endeavor

Whichever endeavor you are undertaking at the moment, the same 5 success strategies hold true to be successful. This would be inclusive of seeking a new job, building business or growing sales.

  1. Pyramid

One item or topic should always be at the top of your mind. For example, I’m about to launch a book and it is at the top of my list. Yet there are many associated projects to be built out first that will support the book. Each avenue complements one another and together they provide a more robust outcome.

  1. Possibilities

Being attentive to possibilities contributes well to the 5 success strategies. 

Sales professionals strive to fill their sales funnel with many possibilities. Similarly, job seekers should fill their career funnel with possible employers. The idea is to think of as many appropriate possibilities to fill the pipeline while mindful that each possibility holds pluses and minuses.

Streaming through the funnel is a slow process. As each possibility is explored, some will advance through the funnel while others will be ruled out.

  1. Prioritize

Once you have numerous ideas for how to build your business, career or project, the next step is to prioritize in terms of which hold the most interest. Motivation stems from having keen interest in seeing your endeavor through to completion.

The caution here is to be realistic in recognizing what will be required. Specifically, the learning curve, time involvement and expense are key factors for making the final determination of where they sit on your priority list.

  1. Research

Job seekers will research websites, company executives and then visit the premises for an interview. During this process, companies are ruled out as they are not seen as a good fit. Similarly, entrepreneurs will be invited to participate in projects. But upon learning of requirements and commitments, many of these are soon eliminated too.

When you meet with people where the connection is friendly, and you both mutually envision working together, this holds promise for advancing through the funnel.

  1. Follow-up

The sad part is many will have great possibilities lined up at their finger tips but it never quite becomes theirs. The reason is, the person freezes when it comes to following up.

To get the sale or the job, you have to be ready to ask for it along with the desired start date. Answer all concerns and then ask once again; doing so contributes to the 5 success strategies. 

In terms of finalizing a huge project, you need the end date in mind. With a firm date, you are then able to work backwards with listing milestones for achievement. Adhering to the schedule will lead you to completion. By implementing the 5 success strategies above, you will secure more business and a loyal clientele.
