Does Your Work Take a Stance?
Today’s question is, what do you believe is best for you: A middle of the road pathway where you are able to skate by without negative feedback, or, taking a position with your work that welcomes both criticism and glowing testimonials?
While none of us enjoy criticism or even ridicule, it’s a quick signal to let us know where our audience does NOT reside. And of course the positive feedback will make the day as well as guide us as to where more positives may be possible. Ideas are gained as to where your perfect target audience may reside or with whom they are associated. Taking a second look will very likely enhance what you already have in place as an entrepreneur or guide you to your next best career spot.
The negative-positive commentary is similar to the sales cycle in that a large percentage of “no”s” is normally a prerequisite to finding the “yes”. When you begin to view the process as a game, it’s easier to handle and will motivate you to get to the next level. The key is to not give up but instead to find an improved way for getting to where you wish to be. Middle of the road, for me, would be boring.
The zig zag of life presents a challenge and becomes highly rewarding once the straighter path and the Smooth Sale are found.
