1.  Network online and/or in person

Join a group or two – only as many as you have time to become involved.  Listen to what others are implementing to determine if the same might work for you.  The only caveat is to be certain their methodology is in alignment with your thinking in order to maintain a strong brand.

2.  Take a class

Today there are a couple of online sites dedicated to education in addition to traditional options.  Choose which course might assist your best to get to the next level.  

3.  Read everything as time allows

Newsletters, blogs, tweets, books, manuals – whatever you can get your hands on should be read as time permits.  All new ideas lead to enhanced business development.

4.  Remain up to date on business

Read the business news daily to know exactly what’s going on with new developments and how they affect our world.  You just might learn about a new program or app that will be perfect for your next project.

5.  Share

Create a brain trust with peers for the purpose of sharing information whether it be your area of expertise, new technology or complementary subject matter.  The wider your scope, the bigger the picture may be presented to your prospective clientele.  Your bonus is being in a leadership position that invites increased sales.
