Observations to Launch Forward

It was so intrested to compare a big-name company with a big-name entrepreneur and styles of doing business.  I came to the conclusion that as an entrepreneur, you have to hustle more, study more, and become more adept at the “what needs to get done” in order to see a fruitful experience.  Once entrepreneurship is practiced well, it’s as if the person graduated from a prestigious business school.

What I learned over the years is to communicate with all age groups in their preferred styles, observe others and adapt the best of what you like to your style.  This obviously works well for the job hunt and interviewing too.   

Create combinations of products and services to attract more people, particularly when you are hosting an event.  Providing solely a general seminar and asking to buy services doesn’t quite hit the mark.  On the registration page, ask which topics people are most interest in and deliver the content.  Sell vendor tables to complementary business owners such as sales, marketing, public relations.  The more comprehensive the services, the better the end result.

The brilliant entrepreneur would offer breakout sessions with a coach conducting the Q&A,  after the general presentation.  The coach would sell his services to the people in the group, and a percentage would go to the host.  Meanwhile the people who went to the event got the information they sought.  Everyone won.

None of the above was available at the general event.  If there is one lesson to be learned, no matter which project you are focusing on, provide more than one option.  It’s a sales technique, when you only sell one item, you only have a 50-50 chance of hearing yes.  

Creating a couple of options along with communicating with all generations significantly helps, leading you to the Smooth Sale
