Call Your Clients and RecruitersToday!

Most of us have a long list of people we are supposed to call, but for some reason anxiety gets in the way.  Are you one of those people?  This also applies for Hiring Managers who put your interviews on hold.  Here are some tips to ease your nerves:

1.  It’s holiday time – be cheerful in order to hear a similar response.

2.  Ask the other person’s plans for the holidays – they will tell you!

3.  Ask plans for change and/or growth next year – take careful note.

4.  Ask, “Have you considered?”

5.  Dependent upon the answer to #4, respond appropriately.  Open up ideas in the conversation.

6.  Ask for the appointment.

7.  Check mark #1 on your list and pick up the phone to call #2. Keep repeating.

The amazing thing is – by phone call #3, it becomes easy and fun doing this.  By the end of the day, you will have set a number of appointments, feel energized, and recognize a good year is around the corner!
