Ask Questions!

We sometimes fool ourselves into thinking that taking the job will be the answer to our problems, or collaborating with another will broaden and improve our own business.  Unfortunately this line of thinking proves to be false.  Asking many questions will prompt answers thereby revealing the truth underneath what was initially stated.

While in conversation with another, we were seeking collaborative strategies.  Upon asking one particular question, it was relayed that the business was in essence a hobby with no intention of making money let alone growing personally and professionally.  The only intention on their part is to keep the hobby going.  A magnetic connection was missing.

The secret to successful collaboration is where you enjoy working with one another plus everyone involved experiences improvement.  Ideally, the same would be true for employment.  When you hear platitudes, dig deep with questions to get to the core of the matter as well as the truth.   

Asking smart questions will lead you to the Smooth Sale!
