Proper Acknowledgment that Encourages More
The power of “Thank You” is enormous as it acknowledges the help someone else provided you. However, story-telling is all the more powerful. Upon giving your appreciation to another, include your personal story of how their help positively impacted you. This is true for all areas of your life: personal, entrepreneurship, or job.
Adapt the role of reporter when you relay your story of having received help in terms of the who, what, when, where and why. Convey how you adapted their advice, implemented it, and the outcome you experienced. Add “thank you” at the end of your story too.
Your sincere appreciation will encourage the same people to continue to offer help to you and to others. By the same token, seeing what the help did for you, pay it forward as the expression goes. Reach out to help others. When we all adopt this philosophy, we may make a huge difference in our society. This is one of the core themes in my book, INSPIRED Business! “Believe, Become, Empower”.
