Qualify Request “Opportunities”

As you start out in either your career or business, many “opportunities” will come and go some of which are better than others.  In fact, some offers may be downright awful.  When you are in need of money, wishful thinking may kick in – but this is the point where you need to kick it back out!

Qualifiying begins with knowing what you want; all of the parameters.  You might even build in some leeway such as, “if it’s related to what I want”.  However, this may become a tightrope for going too far out on the edge.  Additionally, it’s not just the actual job or project but also the people with whom you will be working.  Even if the project sounds very exciting and an outstanding outcome is painted for you, consider whether there is synergy between the people involved and you, and if working together will be enjoyable.  Your intuition doesn’t lie.

Next on the qualifying platoform stands the time commitment, inconveniences, and other projects that might get pushed back.  Does this new opporutnity fit in well with your current agenda?  And, will it be synergistic with all of your current messaging regarding brand, marketing  and the type of people with whom you currently work?

Being of the mindset to qualify everyything you are considering prior to take it on is a very important step to keep you on track for desired accomplishments. Asking tough questions has others viewing You as the leader.  It keeps your personal brand in integrity and your marketing messages clear.  In turn, sales will soar.

Following these guidelines will lead you to the Smooth Sale.
