Whether your are an entrepreneur, job-seeker or author, my personal story most likely applies.
Upon being challenged as to whether or not my self-published book were any good, I decided on the spot to seek a publisher. That was my goal, end of vision. Admittedly some of this was due to my being naive. However, I had no marketing plan, no goal to sell thousands or millions of copies, actually – it wasn’t much of a vision at all. In fact, I was stunned when it was clear I was about to become an author!
Due to the book being published with a great publishing house, Sourcebooks, my book “Nice Girls DO Get the Sale: Relationship Building That Gets Results” was featured in TIME Magazine, translated into several languages and sells worldwide. It’s almost what you would call “lucky” because I certainly did not hold the right vision for what the book could do and lacked a plan to make it happen.
However, in your case as in mine, it’s never too late to improve upon what you already learned. Once again I was ecstatic that Career Press agreed to publish my next book, “HIRED! How to Use Sales Techniques to Sell Yourself On Interviews.” This time I hold a very big vision and have a detailed plan in place for the success of the book. I had to grow into the idea of being an author. I have been educating myself the past years on marketing, social media, and speaking to make my bigger vision become a reality.
I now believe it will all develop as it is envisioned.
Do You believe you are able to and will achieve your bigger dream?
When you answer “Yes”, put a business development plan of action together and begin implementing, you will begin to recognize changes in what you attract into your life. Prospects, clients, sales will come your way as your marketing-communication message of confidence and expertise are received by new audiences.
